A new season is officially here. It means cooler weather, football season and fun holidays like Thanksgiving and Halloween.
If you are a Gamecock fan (or even if you aren’t) and are at a game this year – be sure to stop by Cocky’s POD at the stadium. It’s at the Old Farmer’s Market tailgate area where they have a kids area – pretty cool!
The State Fair is also around the corner – check out all the PODS there too!
Thinking about decorating but need some new ideas? Here are a few easy ways to spruce up around the house:
- Paint Pumpkins: Instead of carving them and making a mess, take paint to the outside to create colorful designs. These can be placed around your house or outside your front door for a fun seasonal look
- Bring out the blankets: Have throws that you have tucked away in a closet? Layer them on your furniture to cozy up the atmosphere. Okay, it doesn’t get THAT cold around here, but cold enough for a soft throw at night inviting you to snuggle up!
- Create an inviting door front that sreams fall! Mums are readily available in the fall and can add a burst of fall color to your doorstep. Tie in a similar colored fall wreath for added dimension.
- Utilize outdoor space: If you have an outdoor deck or patio, don’t neglect it during this beautiful time of year. Here in Columbia, fall means we don’t have to battle mosquitos as fiercely and the humidity has curbed from the stifle of summer. Take advantage of this time, don’t neglect the outdoor space.
